Converting Auto to Standard?

Sorry if this has been asked, but I searched and didn't come up with anything. Is it possible to convert an automatic 240sx to a 5 speed?

I found an 89 Coupe near my house but it's an automatic, I need decent priced car until my Corolla hatch is fixed, but i'm sick of automatics, and I hate FWD

Can anybody let me know how hard, what parts I need and how much i'm looking at to do it

Thanks

if you really want a 240 manula, wait to find a manual.
cause auto->manual swap isnt worth it. its a pain in the neck. an expensive pain in the neck.

but if youre up for it, here are some sites

http://www.cautioncreativity.com/briand/trannyswap.htm

http://www.240sx.org/links/installs/s14_5speed_swap.htm

hope this helps a little

Yeah its not too steep price wise, I found an automatic 240sx with a shot engine for $670, I'm going to do the tranny swap & a SR20DET swap since I need a new engine anyways, Pretty good deal if you were to ask me, I'll spend the time to do the swap myself :o

under 700 isnt as easy as it sounds. he was lucky with the tranny. most junkyard trannies i see are around 300-400.
