1993 Chevy S-10 Blazer - Hard starting

When cold starts will take a few minutes of starting to start, often several turning of the key. After that and started, will start until it has been sitting for at least 10 hrs. New gas filter, plugs, dist cap and rotor, k&n air intake system. good driving habits, reg oil change with synthetic oil and k&n oil filter. Need help not sure to spend the 300$ for a fuel pump... and for some reason my cruise control doesn't work? I only drive about 2 miles to work. Any answers would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Get the fuel pressure tested. Also test for leakdown.
