The ranking of Headers?

A buddy of mine was going to buy some headers but money is tight. I told him to hold off but he was going to buy some OBX headers. I never heard anything about OBX for the 3800 platform, only for mustangs and firebirds. Anybody heard of them? Whats the ranking of all the headers out there?

Re: The ranking of Headers?

OBX? Never heard of them. I really don't believe there is a ranking or one is really better than the others but you have to look at the overall features, ease of installation, specs and cost on the various brands of headers for our platform.

The most popular are TOG, SLP, S&S and Pacesetter. Pacesetter is the econobox version ...in other words cheaper than the others. I have SLP aluminum ceramic coated.

Re: The ranking of Headers?

SLP on the GTP Bob? Have you been happy with them? I also though you put S&S on your sons alero, didnt you? What one did you like the most? S&S for the gtp are quite spendy.

I'm considering putting some headers on, only problem is I dont know how to weld, and I'd have to drive it to the nearest exhaust shop (7mi) and have them finish the install.

Re: The ranking of Headers?

I have never heard of them either. Once you get them installed, please report back and tell us if they were hard or easy to install, any problems and if you had to make any modifications. The information says they are stainless steel and if they are these could be a cheap way for others to get the headers for their Grand Prix's especially if money is tight.

I have TOG's.
