04 Dodge Stratus 2.7 Oil Light On

2004 Dodge Status 2.7 oil light keeps comming on. I just bought the car wasn't on. I decided to change the oil I usewd the right motor oil and filter. But after I took it out for a short drive I niticed the oil light came on light and keept getting brighter. I checked the oil light sending unit and it was leeking, so I cleaned the mess and installed one fron Discount auto parts. It was gone. The next day in the afternoon, it came on again. I looked in the valve cover when I bought the car it looked clean and no smoke. No smoke at rear as well. It drives fine. I did notice that after it set the first time the next morning when cold it was off, as soon as it warmed up it was on again. This was befor I replaced the oil sending light unit switch. Anyone out their that can help.

good luck, your best bet is to not change the oil again. those motors are notoroius for that. did you fill the oil filter before you changed it?

there is a tsb on this contact your nearest dealer.The chrysler tech web site (dealerconnect) is acting goofy and i cant pull up tsb.i will attempt later.
