95 Cavalier no power whatsoever.

Well some kid tried to hotwire my dads car the other day. They broke the steering column and busted the lock cylinder. Anyway, they unplugged the two ignition plugs and used a wire to hotwire it. By the looks of it, they connected pink to black and shorted it out (theres a wire still there, and a bit of black smoke residue around the pink outlet) I then took a new wire and connected the red and pick (which should turn on the dash) but got nothing. My question is what is fried? I checked all the fuses and they look fine. Would it be the computer? I gotta go to the wreckers tomorrow to get a new key cylinder so let me know what else to pick up! Thanks, Deven.
