Fuel Problem?

I have a 2.5L 93 YJ and have having some major problems with the fuel pump. I tried fixing it myself and installed a new one. This didn't work, so i brought it to a shop. They installed a new pump and it worked for two days. It died again and I brought it back to the shop. This happened two more times and it is now sitting in my garage not working. What could be wrong? Is it just coincidence that I got four bad fuel pumps in a row? PLEASE HELP!

Re: Fuel Problem?

I'd think it's more likely to have something else wrong than to get 4 bad fuel pumps in a row.

Trace the wiring back from the fuel pump to the front of the vehicle. I'm not the one to ask (hopefully they'll be along shortly) but if you get a manual and check to voltage going to the pump you may find it to be incorrect.

Re: Fuel Problem?

Presumeably you have done a fuel pressure test to verify that it is a lack of fuel ?

Has the fuel pump and auto shut down relay been tested ?
