first thing to do when going turbo?

I have a B16a2 and I want to go turbo, but it is stock right now, I want to know what I should do first when going turbo. I cannot afford to get a full kit now but I want to do some upgrades on my car (performance wise). Can anyone help?:smoka:

Well i depends on how much boost you want to run.You can safetly run low boost on stock internals and up it with better fuel management and tuning.

my buddy had A 2000 Si and ran a garrett t3/t4 and ran it stock and had no problems that I know of yet and it worked fine I think with 8-10 Lbs of boost.

i know turbos pretty damn well, i do custom turbo work, and if your gona use a turbo, you gotta make sure you keep the air/fuel mixture stoicometric(right). So find out if the injectors need to be upgraded, find out if the fuel pump needs to be upgraded and find out how you are going to compensate the A/F ratio for increased air, find out if your ecu can handle that. after that send me a message and if im not busy ill talk about setting up your own kit...Its cheaper and you can usually use mostly stock parts from other cars. Not the best but perfect for budget.
