Trany oil type
Hallo folks,
I have a question for you please, which fluid type to fill into my trany in 96 3.0 Windstar? The specification is Mercon as I rememrer well, but this you cannot buy here in EU probably the specification is somehow Dextron II, Dextron III, ATF or whatever. I bought Castrol, which meets Mercon V specification as well from our local USA parts dealer and used it, did I make a mistake? Please help me to organize my brain a bit :-) Thanks, MarPac. |

Re: Trany oil type
FORD issued at TSB that now calls for the Mercon V fluid in all years of FORD Windstar.
