Re: problem with bleeding back brakes

Not sure what exactly your question is.

There are bleeder valves on the wheel clyinders for the brakes, located on the back side of brake housing. Follow the brake line, IIRC the valve should be top of the line. Think its 8mm.

Have someone pump up brake pedal with engine off, once pumped up hold pressure on brake pedal. Open bleeder valve(pedal will go to floor, do NOT release pressure on pedal until bleeder is closed) Repeat until no air escapes valve making sure master clyinder is kept full of fluid at all times.

Start on RR, LR, RF, LF.

Hope this helps

Re: problem with bleeding back brakes

you will need:
1. clear wide heavy bottle filled with brake fluid maybe an inch from the bottom
2. 8mm box wrench. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO OPEN BLEEDER VALVE WITH OPEN END WRENCH.
3. can of brake fluid
4. hose snug enough to fit tight on the bleeder valve nipple, long enough to reach from bleeder valve down into the bottle. I am yet to find perfect one.

1. start with pass side rear wheel.
2. slide box wrench over the bleeder valve, and break it loose. do not open it too much, just insure that it opens easy.
3. install hose on top of bleeder nipple. nipple is very short, hose is destined to slide off it very easy. so, one hand operates wrench, one holds hose on the nipple. other hose end should be immersed into the brake fluid. bottle should be positioned securily and out of harms way, or it's destined to tip over. little gremlins don't miss the occasion.
4. have someone - good time to indoctrinate your wife on men's life hardships - pump the brake pedal 4-5 times and holler "go"! helper must absolutely realize that it is a capital crime to release the pedal from the floor, untill you permit so. if wife is involved, usually, it takes about 15 minutes of technical explanations and her asking you "why you don't love me anymore?".
5. you release the bleeder, just about half turn, and watch bubbles appearing, or nastiness.
6. when pedal reaches the floor, helper yells - "done"! you lock the bleeder back, gently, and holler back "pump"!
7. basically, you repeat the steps until nastiness stops coming out, or bubbles are no more. by that time, brake fluid looks like crap and you almost have to see tip of the hose, to see bubbles. Mkae sure to lock bleeder SNUG before you move on. BLEEDER HEADS ARE ABOUT THE EASIEST TO STRIP NUTS EVER DESIGNED BY CAR MAKERS!!!
it can take anywhere between 5-6 pumps to a dozen to clear the side.
you do pass rear, driver rear, pass front, driver front. fronts are easy as you just turn the wheels one way to maxx, to expose bleeders.
you'll have to add fluid about 3 times to the master canister.
done. now, your wife appreciates the hardships you had to go through, and rewards you with one of those she used to do when she wanted you to merry her.opcorn:

no, I did not. It's said so in post #2. And I said to refill it few times during the procedure. He's good.
