What's that noise?
So I have a 98 Civic lx with 157,000 miles. Every now an then a noise sort of like wistling while I'm driving. It isn't constant just seems to come an go as it pleases. It seems to be coming from the belt area but it isn't that screech of a bad belt nor that wobble of the water pump. Could it be the timing belt? if so wouldn't a light come on or something? any help is greatly appreciated thanks in advance

Hey I have the same problem and it is driving me crazy, it sounds like my car is going to fall apart, but then goes away for a while. It is deff not the timing belt since i just had that replaced on my car 5,000 miles ago, Im still trying to figure it out but cant get to the bottom of it. let me know if you figure it out,
