Downpipe, some engine management, & a boost gauge. Just my personal opinions.

You're going to need a boost gauge, MBC, 1g Blow off valve, full turbo back exhaust, intake(KN), & a hard pipe kit for your intercooler pipes. That would be a nice bump in power. Make sure you don't use the stock boost gauge though, that's a useless BLING option Mitsu put in. Good luck

Engine management as one of the 1st steps??? Thats a waste of $1-3k on that usless you're producing big hp/tq #'s. Definately not one of the 1st things I would do.

Boost gauge is definate:
Mechanical - Cheap and pretty accurate
Electrical - Little more expensive but dead accurate

1g Blow off valve is ok, definately the cheap way to hold a little more boost. But if you dont want to worry about leakage again, buy aftermarket like HKS SSBOV. Yes, you could crush the 1g bov to hold more boost, but most people dont crush it right and if crushed right, the HKS SSBOV still will hold more boost and hp

Full Turbo Back Exhaust:
Definately a big HP gain, but if you get a larger down pipe you'll have to worry about and watch for boost creap and spike and you'll have to spend more money on mods to get rid of it.

Hard Pipe Kit for I/C pipes:
No real hp gains, but response will be a lot better

The HKS SS is a bad BOV and many people have had problems with them leaking, plus they vent to the atmosphere. Just get a Greddy type S.

It leaking, is that something you've heard or actually witnessed? They've never leaked for me or any of my customers. I have 2 on my car right now and have never had a problem. Also, them venting to the atmosphere, if you want them plumbed back into the intake, HKS offers a recirrculation kit.

Yes, I have personally seen them have problems, and why spend more money when the Greddy is a all around better valve in my opinion.
