Re: How to gain more hores power

First question is, how far does your knowledge on forced induction go? If it doesn't go very deep at all, then you need to start doing a lot of reading to learn the things you need to know if your serious about going a route like this. A good place to start reading would be this link here...

Modifying your 3g

Sleeper_AWD put this article together and covered all bases on everything from a basic intake and exhaust clear up to advanced builds. There are even several links to places online to learn more and find parts you need.

In my opinion, turbocharging is the most efficient way to go for power. However, you need to know what your doing before you attempt a build like that or you'll destroy your motor in no time.

Take some time, do some reading, then get back to us and we'll help guide you the best we can on what direction you need to go with your car.

Re: How to gain more hores power

For someone who has had the car for 9 years you sure don't know anything.

Turbo wise, since you have the V6 any boost over like 5-6psi will need you to swap out all your pistons.

Re: How to gain more horse power

Hey 808 drifter what model do you have and what have you done to modfiy your 2000 eclipse?? the reason i havent looked into uprading my car is that any aftermarket parts you put on yor car other than the ones made by mitsubishi is not under warrenty so with a 5 year bumper to bumper and a 10 year powertrain warrenty made it a lil tough . i may not know much about souping up my eclipse but i do know that you were going through PUBERTY when i was purchasing my car LOL!!
