Coca Cola to drop "Classic" from name.
After nearly 25 years, the word "Classic" will soon disappear from labels of 'Coke Classic'. The word 'classic' was added to differentiate it from another product out at that time called New Coke, where the formula was changed, but that never caught on with the soda drinking public. I don't know if this will help sales. Seems a lot of things are being marketed today with a hint towards retro or old school, so having the term 'classic' in the title fits right in.
