Stereo Question????

When I bought my civic, it did not have a radio in it. My question might be dumb but, did the '91 HB Std come with a radio in it? If not, will it have a wiring harness for the stereo anyway or will I have to wire it up? Thanks in advance.

88-91 civics the radio was a dealer installed option, but all the wiring should be there, so you should just have to dig i nthe harness and find whats left of the wire harness for it...you'll also have speaker wire in the doors and in back if you want rr. speakers as well.....

All of my speakers will be rewired, so that's no problem. What I need to know now since the wiring harness have been cut is what color is the power, remote, ground, etc. wires of the original car harness

That's usually how it goes but is the factory wiring like that? Some cars are NOT. Sometimes the red on a factory harness is something other than power. Please help me, I don't want to blow up the car. j/k I do need the wire color codes though

ok, here it is, these are the wires in the car.
speaker wires:
red w/green right front (+)
brown w/black right front (-)

blue w/green left front (+)
gray w/black left front (-)

red w/yellow right rear (+)
brow w/white right rear (-)

blue w/yellow left rear (+)
gray w/white left rear (-)

battery- is either white w/blue or white w/yellow (+)<this is the only wire that changes color.
accessory- yellow w/red (+) switched power from the key
ground black (-)
power antenna- yellow w/white
parking lights- red w/black
hope this helps. let me know if you need to know the wire colors on the radio you are putting in.

Thanks a million, I have installed many radios as a hobby and learning exp, but the harness is never cut when I do them. This is my first experience with this and it will be easy now that I got this info.
