Question IAC Questions: Voltage and Knob

What voltage is the IAC supposed to be seeing?

What is the knob for on the side of the IAC?

For whatever reason I've identified on my old and new IAC that air comes out of that spot under about 5 - 15lbs of leak test air. Whats the deal with that? Is that how its supposed to be?

Its very critical that someone help me answer the top 2 questions here. Thanks.

I've already answered #1 and I believe it is in this thread as a previous post. So, I'll let you look for it. Don't know on your second question.

Re: IAC Questions: Voltage and Knob

I don't know about the knob on the side.
I have never paid any attention as to any air movement around the IAC.

As far as the voltage, it will vary....as you know.
What is important to understand is that the sample time of your meter may not catch the voltage variation....and....the sample time from one meter to another is often different.....which will result in different meters giving different readings on the SAME points being tested.

If you have had several new IAC units with the same results, then I would think that the IAC unit is OK.
