04 Dakota Will Not Start

2004 Dodge Dakota 4.7 V8 with 93,000 miles. Went out this a.m. and she wouldn't start. Tried jumping it with other vehicle, wouldn't even turn over. Dome lights and other interior electronics seem to be working and don't dim when I hit the ignition switch. I initially was thinking battery but now maybe a starter????? Sylenoid??????? Any help is appreciated.

Thank You,
Ed

Re: 04 Dakota Will Not Start

Starter relay is in the PDC which is in the eng compartment. Pin 30 at the relay should be hot at all times.Pin 86 should be hot when the ign switch is turned to the start position. Pin 85 is the ground from the PCM. Pin 87 is the output from the relay to the starter solenoid. You can pull the relay and the pins should be marked on the bottom side.
