Question 91 Blazer totally dead

My daughter and son-in-law have a 91 Blazer that they just put a new battery in, yesterday (1/28/09). Today they drove to the grocery and when they got in the Blazer, it wouldn't start. My daughter said they were able to get a jump start, but that the truck died immediately. She said there were no lights, chime that there were keys in the ignition, no sound of the engine trying to turn over or anything. She did say that when here husband had taken the jumper cables and connected them to the battery and then taken the other end and struck them together that he did get a spark, so we know it isn't the battery or alternator draining the battery. I am wondering if it is a Main Relay or something like that. Is there anyone who can give me any help on this????? Any and all help is greatly appreciated!!!
Thanks!
Vanessa

Look at the wires by the starter for a burned fuseable link. If burnt you can make one using two wire sizes smaller wire than the big main feed wire.

Re: 91 Blazer totally dead

There is a chance the starter relay is bad....not sure where it is located on your truck. GM usually put them together with 2-3 other relays on the firewall. My concern is why your truck stalled...
