Where to lube?
Hello,
I did a thread search on this forum to see if there are any old threads on how and where to lube a car, but without success. I've been changing my engine oil for several years now, and it occurred to me that maybe I ought to also lubricate the car. I have a 2002 superhcharged grandprix gtp. If anyone has any information, that would be much appreciated? Thanks |

Re: Where to lube?
There arent any grease zircs unless you have replaced parts. I replaced my tie rod ends which I grease at every oil change.

Re: Where to lube?
The W-car chassis (speaking here of 97 on up) doesn't have a greasable chassis like the old body-on-frame cars (if this is what you are after). Even the steering tie-rod-ends are sealed.
My old pickup trucks all the way up to the GMT800 chassis have zerks for the lower control "A" arms (with exception of the torsion-bar suspension) and the entire steering link system. Of course they are still the classic body-on-frame design. You might want to change the gear oil in the supercharger though...look in the tech-tip forum. If you want to get wacky you can start doing automatic transmission fluid changes.....

Re: Where to lube?
Same here, one tie rod end has a zerk, however the passenger side does not, so I grease the drivers side when I change the oil.
