Re: cv joint gone bad?

Could be. An easy way to look is to take a look at the C/V boots. If they are torn there is a good chance you have a bad joint and should be fixed regardless.

Re: cv joint gone bad?

A bad CV wouldn't cause a pull.

You would hear a grinding noise when turning.

Re: cv joint gone bad?

weird sound, pulling? more then likley its ur powersteering, its prolly not pulling justsa resistance when ur turning cause there no fluid in the rack and pinion, check ur ps level and if its low u gotta leak somewhere

That's not entirely true. When they go really bad they'll pull, ask me how I know. But usually they'll cause the car to shudder pretty badly too at that point.

Re: cv joint gone bad?

I had one that was so bad it made my car vibrate hirribly, but I still had no pull.

Re: cv joint gone bad?

bad wheel bearings and tie rod ends also make weird noises and pulling issues from time to time.
