I went to a Mitsubishi dealerships to look at the new EVO they got in. One which I saw was marked up as much as 10,000. I asked a sales why they were doing this, and he told me that they wanted to keep the value of the car. That makes the car $40,000, pulse tax and all that it would be mid 40's. Man, that way too much for a EVO without the ACD and AYC. I went to the one in Costa Mesa. They are CAZY!
What are the other dealers asking for? ![]()

Anywhere between $20,000 markup to at or slightly below MSRP. Believe me there are plenty selling at or around MSRP, but they are few and far between in many areas. Average markup seems to be between $2,000 and $5,000 USD.

Does anyone know where to find information on what dealerships are selling the evo? The closest mitsu dealer for me is 35 minutes away, and I dont think they will carry the evo. If anyone has any info, please let me know. By they way I am in Southwestern Virginia, if that matters.

I'd pick up the yellow pages and start calling if I were you.
I know there are a quite a few in your state with Evos still, but I dunno which ones.

We have a grey one here that is not sold yet. It is $36000, $6000 over invoice but they say it is because it has a bunch of options installed like the carbon fiber wing and gauge packages and stuff. It looks really awesome, pictuers don't do the evo justice. This is Bloomington, MN by the way.

Fly to El Paso, Tx for a few hundred $$, buy one for sticker, and enjoy the drive home while you break the car in !! I bought mine for 28.9K, while the rest are normally selling right at the MSRP. For months, I have seen at least one in stock at all times. Dealer is Heritage Lincoln/Merc/Mitsub.......good luck/ take a flight / break in drive- home.

Is there anyway you could take a pic of the optional gauge package? I cannot seem to find one to see what it looks like. Turbo, oil temp and volts right?

The local mistsu dealer here has had a evo8 since early april. Lots of looker and dreamers here, but no takers. He told me they are willing to let it go below MSRP. I'm guessing at invoice cause it's costing them too much to hold the car. The problem is here, the kids that want it can't afford it and the ones that can afford it don't want it.

Go to NOVA
In Northern Virginia there are plenty of dealerships who will give it to you for MSRP. Stohlman's Mitsubishi for example...

I saw one at a mitsu dealer in western mass with the wing, and sticker said 28,900. Not sure if they would ask for more...
