Renaissance Ferrari 250 TR 57/58

Here is a couple of Testarossas that I have recently completed from older Renaissance kits. Both are 1:43 scale.
Red car is S/N 0704TR as run at LeMans '58 under #12, Drivers Collins/Hawthorn.
Pontoon-fender #17 is chassis 0666TR from LeMans '59, drivers Carveith/Geithner.

Re: Renaissance Ferrari 250 TR 57/58

Very nice job Alex!
I have the '57 Renaissance kit built as the "Lucybelle II". That was the first 1/43rd i finished. Boy that body needed help! I changed so much, only the wire wheels were really good.
So i think i can appreciate your build even more :-)

Re: Renaissance Ferrari 250 TR 57/58

Yeah, I agree, the shape on the pontoon fender is a bit off. Renaissance kits are not the most accurate when it comes to shapes. They do build into nice models though, if you are willing to put some effort into them.

Well done, Alex, it seems that you continue building twins (F40, 250 TR, 512 .... ?? ;-)))

Well, actually this is a series of 5 TRs I'm building for a customer. Only these two are completed so far, 3 more to go :-)

Thank you all!

Fantastic job on one of the all time great ferrari,s.
Good to see that someone else likes panel lines as some of my friends think they O.T.T. on 1/43rd.

Re: Renaissance Ferrari 250 TR 57/58

Wow, such beautiful work. It looks just like a 1/24, you make it look so easy. The finish is flawless, and the small detail is just amazing. Still can't believe its a 1/43.
