buying car tomorrow, need distributor help on ZC
ok, well I found a 94 civic hatch with 127k that comes with a buddy club front bumper, intake, exhaust, 17" ADR's not sure of what type yet(havent looked at it yet but for price Im not sayin no) 2 12's ands an amp, new hood, monster tach, lowered, and it has a zc swap, but the disributor isnt wired up. the guy told me that when he get the engine he got a distibutor for something else, then he got a distributor that works on the engine but the 6 wire plug from the harness to the distributor doesnt go together so he cut it to splice them but cant get them together in the right order.
well, anyways the car is 2k so even if i have to tow it the 50 miles back to my house I will. but I have been told that I could follow the diagrams in the factory service manuals available from honda of the car and of the car hat donated the engine. what did the ZC come out of, I am not even sure of if it is a DOHC or SOHC. but what I mainly want to know is if i just went and tried every combination. there is only 1 that would ,make it run, but will any pof the combos I try be dangerous to the car, can i fry anything. I dont want the engine once it cpomes home anyways so I dont really vcare if i mess stuff up, but realkly dsont wanna fry the ECU or anything, even though I wont ever use the one it has on it now. any tips to get this figured out would help me immensely. I am going to call the guy at 9 tomorrow cuz it will be noon where he is at (USCG) and on his lunch break. and i will be going up there at 5:30 when his parents get home. again, thanks in advance for any help

well, I now know it is the DOHC, and he said he got the distributor from the engine dealer and he hoped they knew what they were talking about when they said it will work. he doesnt know if it is a distributor out of a ZC, but would one from any other engine work? he has it bolted up to the engine so it did fit, if it was one that wouldnt work, it wouldnt have fit right?
anyways, im going up there in a few minutes so i wont be able to read any new advice until tomorrow, but if i dont get it running im gonna tow it home tomorrow and ill take some pics and show all of you so maybe it will be easier to help me.
