2001 Intrepid Washer Fluid issue

My washer fluid does not come out anymore. When pushing the washer fluid so that it comes out on to the windsheild it doesn't even make the humming sound that it usually makes for the motor. I checked the fuse box inside the car and they are all fine. I checked the fuse box inside the engine comparment and the only thing I see missing that might be it is the "H/L WASHER RELAY" is missing. Does anyone know if I need that to operate the washer fluid ???

Re: 2001 Intrepid Washer Fluid issue

I just called the advanced Auto in my area and they do not have a relay for the washer fluid. So I guess I don't need that to operate the wash fluid, so I can rule that out. Anyone know if the pumps (for the washer fluid) on these cars go out a lot ????

I've replaced a few in my life- they can be common failures- pretty cheap fix- You can test the old pump by putting 12v directly to it...

thanks for the info, I followed the line from the hood and looks like it's under the battery somewhere. I didn't do much looking but is that where the pump is ?

It should be mounted on the bottom of the fluid reservoir..
