'56 Nomad

Well, after about two years of not building anything, I've started a new project. Revell's 1956 Chevy Nomad. It'll be a mild custom, shaved the trim, different motor and different wheels and tires.
Worked on the body tonight, tomorrow I'm of to the LHS to buy glue, all of mine have dried up. Here's the progress so far:

Body color??

Re: '56 Nomad

That's a pretty good kit to build, I've made one a couple of years ago.
The only thing you need to fiddle a bit with is the front bumper mounting plate (don't know what it's called?) as it makes the bumper stick out to long. Thus giving it a bit of a soar lip look.

I didn't do that on mine and it looks a bit odd, like this. Almost like a connie-kit up front.

Quite a differens on the kit above and a 1/1-car.

In the Del Ray-kit it's taken care of and the bumper fits much better.

Keep it coming, I too like these old cars.

Re: '56 Nomad

Thanks for that advise Niclas, I'll keep that in mind. I was thinking of putting the bumbers flush anyway.
Here is the finished engine:

I had a change of heart, now I'm thinking low, in the weeds, suede light blue maybe? Surfboard?
