94 Dakota idle question!!!!!!!!!

Ok today I drove into work and I have a job that allows me some time so I decided to tune up my truck. I have a 94 Dakota SLT 3.9L Magnum 5-speed Ais tranny that was running a little rough at idle. My truck has 160,400 miles on it and was pampered by the first owner (elderly man). Now the truck WAS throwing a code 32. I pulled the original EGR valve assy. and replaced it with a Borg Warner. I moved on the the plugs. Pulled each plug and found that each plug had a normal burn but worn. I replaced them with Autolite 3923's. I moved on to the cap and rotor button as well as the wires (all Borg Warner). The old cap and rotor had both seen better days. From there replaced some bulbs and cleaned the cable ends and battery terminals. Now when I reconnected the battery and cranked the truck she seemed to start quicker and idle much better. I took her down the road and she felt stronger and quicker. This is where the problem sat in. When I came to a stop and pressed in the clutch the RPM would drop from wherever I was at to about 250 RPM and was about to stall out. It has kept on doing this for at least 7 miles. Is this because the computer has reset itself and trying to "RE-LEARN" or what could be going on. Other than this it is very smooth and strong. WHATS GOING ON? Computer re-learn, IAC, did I accidentally pull a vacuum line loose, or is this the new EGR?

Re: 94 Dakota idle question!!!!!!!!!

Today I crank the truck and she does not try to stall at all so I guess it was the computer re-learning.

Re: 94 Dakota idle question!!!!!!!!!

I had the same problem...it ended up being the battery going bad.
