Tamiya Catalogs?

I have some older Tamiya catalogs from 1991, 1993, 1995, and 1996. (pics attached) does tamiya still produce these catalogs? I've had these for a long time. I didn't know what these were when I got these catalogs, but I knew they were nice cars!

Yeah, they still make them. My latest one is '07. Haven't gotten the new ones.

Re: Tamiya Catalogs?

They have stopped producing the English/Spanish Catalogs to cut costs

Re: Tamiya Catalogs?

Yes they still produce them I think. They have them lying on the counter at one of my LHSs

Re: Tamiya Catalogs?

My LHS stated that the Dutch importer of Tamiya won't get catalogs any more after the 2007 edition

Re: Tamiya Catalogs?

I have a couple of these, 2002 and 2003 I think, signed by Mr. Tamiya himself.

Re: Tamiya Catalogs?

Tamiya did not produce a static model catolog in 2008. The only catolog they produced last year was for RC and it was a different format to the catologs of the past that many of us have collected. I have been told that Tamiya does intend on producing a catolog for their static models for 2009 so we all have something to look at.

Re: Tamiya Catalogs?

I would imagine there is no point for them to release a catalog every year for static models (1/12, 1/24) as they maybe release one per year. I would image the military/armor builders would be more upset then us.

Re: Tamiya Catalogs?

I'm not sure about the 2008 one, but I have a 2009 one in my hands already. Here's a local yahoo auction page selling it: click me
From what I have gathered they have produced a cataloge every year since 1989-2009 EXCEPT for 2008.
