Audi RS4 WIP

HI

Some time ago I bought an Audi RS4 from Bburago. 2 weeks ago I stripped the paint and fixed the frontdoors to the body. It was tough to rescribe the panel-lines and I intended to open the metal mesh in the front. Nearly impossible to make that in a reasonable way. So I made a mold of the front and fixed the “new” resin front.

Another problem are the windows at the doors. A friend told me, that Schuco offers a normal A4, may I can use them

Re: Audi Rs4

Awsome!! Did you fix their little issue with fitment around the hood/drivers side headlight? The windows shouldn't be too much a mess to deal with. Good luck anyway!! I know this will turn out top notch!

Re: Audi Rs4

Wow! Great start of one of my favourite cars!
Nice to see you´re not using the Bburago body. I always thought its doors are too short. Much better with the Schuco/Welly body.

Btw: I could need one of those RS4 front ends for an A4 Cabrio some day....

After looking at the pics again i think you could be right. Difficult to say judging by photos only. Mike will tell us. :-)

Anyway, had both of them in my hands some time ago and the body shape of the Schuco seems to be much better than Bburago, which is too short in my view.

Yes. Since Bburago and Maisto merged, there have been some downfalls. Such as this. This kit has the maisto tool feel to it. While some of the other new ones have a little better bburago quality to them.

Re: Audi Rs4

Wow, very nice !! it's impressive what some of you can build from some nice diecast models.
is color french blue ?
Would you offer the casted parts as a transkit ?

Do someone know if there is a RS6 model somewhere on the market ?

Re: Audi Rs4

Hi Mike,

nice colour on this diecast. That is a blueeeee :-)))))
Hope to see this in Frankfurt.

@Phil: An S6 is not availlable at the moment in 1/24. Only a normal A6 was done by Schuco some years ago.
