I can recommend this rebuild kit https://www.700r4l60e.com/store/prod...&cat=22&page=1

Re: Tranny overhaul

Also throw away the the 5 black springs in the direct drum, nothing but problems with them burning up clutches restricting them from floating. The aftermarket found this out and says to throw them away.GM says to put them right back in which they are wrong.Put in a new torque converter and get a T50 torx plus bit.A convential T50 torx bit will fit with a sloppy fit and the torx plus bit fits better.

i dont need a overhaul kit just tips or upgrades in that tranny. Im a Gm mechanic so i get everything threw gm at a cheap cost for exsample i got all clutches and steel plates/bands/torque convertor/seals gaskets/and the cage inside of it for my cost which ended up to be $325 cant beat that. so just looking for some ideas to things i need to upgrade. like corvette servo ect. thanks

Re: Tranny overhaul

Most of the aftermarket transmission parts places sell the ATSG and ATRA
{automatic transmission rebuilders assc.} hand books that have all of the updates for the transmission.
Here is two transmission parts places.
Trans Star transmission parts. 1-800-446-7171
(800)220-0020 Part-Rite and ask for Bill.
Good luck

Re: Tranny overhaul

I would recommend the updated sunshell, the transgo heavy duty shift kit and the corvette servo as far as upgrades.
