My just started collection...

I've decided to start buying and collecting diecast models. I have recently just bought 4 models. If I kept all the models I had when I was a kid, I'd have quite the collection, but of course I played with them all and broke them to bits and pieces.

Anyways, I just bought a Shelby Collectibles 2008 Shelby GT500KR in black/black (just like KITT in the new Knight Rider series), a Shelby Collectibles 1967 Shebly GT500E Eleanor edition, a Sunstar 1981 DeLorean LK (DMC-12), and a Greenlight 1989 Pontiac Trans Am turbo pace car. To my suprise, these are pretty detailed models, especially the Trans Am. It has carpeted interior/trunk, cloth seatbelts with metal buckles, and other great features. Here's a few pics of each of them:

Shelby GT500KR-

Shelby GT500E Eleanor-

DeLorean LK-

Pontiac Trans Am turbo-

All of them-

Not sure what's next, but now I have to find some sort of a display to put them on! I thought I might try an AutoArt model, or perhaps a GMP or Ertl Authentics.

Looks like you're off to a good start, just a word of caution. Be careful with the Greenlight TA. I got the black version awhile back and the passenger mirror broke off just by touching it. If you like the TA, you'll love Autoart's stuff. I just got my first AA, an '04 Orange Mustang Mach 1 and the detail's amazing.

Re: My just started collection...

Thanks! The Trans Am is made by Greenlight. They make black and red GTA's and the white turbo T/A. They are awesome models!
