Uh yea, one problem figured out...on to the next.

Found out why my car was warming up at while i was just idling but cooled off why driving...maybe I should make this a who knows the answer question...just for a few hours....

I will post the reason I found later today.

Oh, does anyone have pics of their EGR valve on the 4 cyl? Unfortantly, I wasted 68 dollars for inspection just so the shop could tell me without a egr, i couldnt do the emission test...I know there are two vacuum outlets....one going to the back of the TB but where does the other one go?

Ok, I wont be able to give the answer later...stayed up too late...or early...

Answer...Yes it was the thermostat but thats not all...

there was no thermostat.

I think the reason behind this...the previous owner ran into the same problem i had at the parts store. The thermostat I bought was the correct part number but was loose when I tried to install. The thermostat for the 98s worked, fit perfect but still not a tight fit. One of the guys at the store used a grommet for hondas thermostats, which fit perfectly with the Geo thermostat. Then I was able to install the thermostat, which actually fit perfectly, and now I have heat, and better gas mileage.

Anyone have this problem?

You never know what a previous owner has done to a used car when you
buy one !

Mine had the Catalytic Converter taken off.

All I know is that the previous owner was a college kid from Montana.
The car was used in Montana.
