00 Suburban no power

I know someone with a Suburban and they went to go start their car and heard a pop from under their hood and a clicking noise comming from somewhere in the dash. There is no power in the car and I was wondering what would be common things to check for this. Thanks.

Re: 00 Suburban no power

Start with checking the fuses to see if any are blown. Also check all the fuseable links to see if one of those are bad.

Post back on your findings.

with a voltmeter start at the battery and then check all fuses for power....if its a short circuit the fuse will aid in locating the bad wire..
