what should I wash zero basecoat with?

Hello, I am about to give a wash to my WIP. I understand that for acylics I can use oil and turp for the wash, as for enamel and lacquer I should use acrylic wash, but....The wip is painted with Zero paint, which I assume is acrylic based? basically there are two areas I am going to do the wash:

Body is painted in Zero and clear coated with 2K zero clear

Chasis is painted with the same Zero basecoat without the clear....

So.....can I use acrylic wash for both? ( I tried to use alcohol on the chasis to remove some overspary of acrylics, but it damaged the Zero base coat )

Use enamel it is much better for wash and it shouldn't damage base coat, although I would put some clear over it anyhow, either semi gloss or dull.

Interesting that you used uncleared basecoat for the chassis. Good idea!

I think un-cleared urethane would also produce the cool semi-gloss finish that's getting popular in Europe for supercars. It could be waxed to get that slight gloss.

If there were any Wiesmann GT kits available, I'd build one just to paint it like that!
