Question Grounds?

Hey so my high idle and idle surge is still happening. took it into a shop. first they said there wasn't enough coolant. then another it was the IAC was broken, replaced it. Then finally took it in again and they said it was the ground connections so there wasnt enough power getting to the IAC to have it engage. it worked fine for about a day then it started up again, any clue what it could be? i know it could be the grounds again where should i check first?

That link was to 13+ pages of idle problems and fixes. Don't click on the link in the first post (that's the credit card thing now or whatever) but read that whole thread.

Re: Grounds?

Note that the second link was discovered within that very thread that apparently went unread by the OP.

Re: Grounds?

Another thing is that about all of their problems include having turbos mine doesn't. just about everyone has told me "Hey check the BISS screw" and that has no effect because i dont have one..

Re: Grounds?

To answer the question about where the grounds are, the ECU grounds are on a 10mm bolt right next to the ECU, and most of the engine harness grounds go to #7, which is on the firewall IIRC. I don't have my manual handy, but those two should cover 90% of the engine/ecu harness.
