Re: Ignition switch problem???

attempt to start it in nuetral next time it doesnt start. If it starts, then you might need to adjust or replace the PRNDL switch. Do your backup lights come on when your in reverse?

Re: Ignition switch problem???

Ok, then your ignition switch is probably the next logical step.

Re: Ignition switch problem???

Not sure I would jump right into replacement of the ignition switch without a few tests.

Have you checked for b+ on the starter S terminal while an assistant attempts to start the car?

Your new post which is the same issue has been merged with the prior post. Please try to keep all questions for the same issue in the same thread. This will cut down on confusion and possible redundant answers.

To start do you have any GM wiring diagrams of your specific year and model GP?

Re: Ignition switch problem???

See if when you turn the key to the start position you have voltage at the yellow wire on the ignition switch. The red wire is the main hot to the switch.

Re: Ignition switch problem???

steering column. But you might be able to access a big electrical cluster plug in the drivers side kick panel for test purposes.
