Dome Light Won't Turn Off

On to the next problem...

The dome light won't turn off when the doors are closed. The only way to turn it off is to move the switch to the off position to turn it off permanently.

Any idea where the sensors are located in the doors? This is a 2 door 2001 GLX.

Re: Dome Light Won't Turn Off

Sounds like they won't turn on when the doors are opened actually...

The switch is in the door latch. If you have the radio on and open the door with the ignition off, does the radio shut off? If not, does it do this with both doors?

Re: Dome Light Won't Turn Off

Have you had any other problems with the car? After my body control module went crazy on my Alero, the dome lights wouldn't turn off. Hopefully that helps!
