Life size F1 "model"

Ok, so it's a "functional model". Still awesome enough I thought it should be shared here.

Few things are readily identifiable. Just wondering where he got the photoetch part.

I assume you're trying to be funny....

It is a real car though - http://www.f1-67.com/specSheet.html

1430# and 300HP LS1, about $60,000 USD I believe. I'm not associated in any way, just passing on a cool link.

Re: Life size F1 "model"

Looks to be based on the pre-aero (late 60's) Formula 5000 cars, not on F1, which had much smaller engines during that period. They were fast and really scary. This looks like it has much better protection for the driver. But what's with those street tires?

Sure would be a blast on the track - but I dunno where you could compete, since it's not a historical racer. Maybe if they sell enough of them, they'll start a spec series. The races would sure be fun to watch.
