which amp is best for 12" kicker L7 subwoofer?? is the same brand amp ok to use???

there is no such thing as best ... try and get an amp that has about the same RMS power as the sub at load you plan on running the sub at. There is a list in the newbie thread of brand ratings.

thnks for the info i didnot notice the tread before....but another problem bafels my mind...

alternators.... i looked in this and other forums and found that there are specific alternator for differnt cars...well my car isnt in any brand and they only have stock alternator or replacements ones...my question is can i use a differnt alternator???

im fron the philippines by the way

there are a number of people who do alts ..... ohio generator, excessive amperage, Iraggi, etc ..

awke...sorry i just startd my set up...

another question so i already have an alpine type r 12" subwoofer and im confused on buyin the PDX 1.1000 and PDX 1.600... which is better.. money is not a problem anyway...

Both of those should be fine, PDX 1.1000 is probably going to be better.

if you go with the 600.1 and maybe a 100.4 for the rest of the speakers, you shouldn't even need to upgrade the alt.

another question is it better in a seal box or a ported box...my friend who has one said it is better if it is in a sealed box but i was thinking of having a customizes fibergalss for mine??? will the SQ change?? what should i use???

just forgot a question... so im going to have 1 pdx 1.1000 powering 1 sub and another powering the other.. will that affect the SQ and SPL of the sub??

sealed is typically better for SQ, less group delay. Ported is better for volume at the tuned frequency. Having a different amp for each sub will not affect SQ if they are tuned correctly
