2000 Montana

All of a sudden I have no horn!!! Is this an easy fix? Is there a fuse for horn? I heard that alot of Montana's have wiring issues in the steering wheel???

Any help would be fantastic

look in the under hood fuse box. there is a horn relay that may need replacement. there is a 15 amp fuse for the horn that may have blowen.

Sometimes the problem is in the steering wheel. Turn the steering wheel in either direction and try. If it works when turned the problem is poor contacts. You can shim up the horn contact in the steering column. Takes time to do this.

Can you explain how to shim up the horn contact in the steering column? Is it very difficult?

I took it to my dealer, who charge for an hour of labour to shim up the contacts. That was fine with me, I probably saved 5 hours of my own time. Watch it though, if the problem is in the steering wheel as I think it may be, the dealer might try to sell you the complete safety bag/horn ring wiring package at a huge cost.
