DPFE Replacement, etc...
Any tips on replacing the DPFE on a 1995 GM. Looks pretty buried behind the Throttle Body. Since it comes with new vacuum lines I'll replace them also. By the way, the DTC was P0401.
The second code was P0743. Torque Converter Clutch Circuit Electrical. Anybody know the symptoms that causes and the repair? I REALLY don't want to rebuild the tranny!! Thanks...Bobby |

Re: DPFE Replacement, etc...
On the DPFE, you just have to take your time to get it out. Moving some things out of the way may assist in giving you the needed space. Look for a few minutes to see what you can move easily. On the 743, you could try replacing the solenoid first. It is easily replaced when the transmission pan is removed. Or look at the wiring to see if you can see anything that may be loose or chafed. Drive it up here and I will change the DPFE for ya Bob.
