bad fuel pump???

after my truck is warmed up and i drive for about ten or fifteen minutes it will start chugging/missing/sputtering so bad i cant accelerate. i switched to my other gas tank and it was fine. then i switched to the other one and it was also fine. could this be the fuel pump going out on it or dirty or bad fuel injectors? i just did plugs, wires, cap and rotor. donk know what it could be so any help would be great. i have the 351 with a E4od tranny

Re: bad fuel pump???

A lot of this year trucks have an external and an internal pump in the tank.
If this is the case using a tank with a good pump will prime the external pump and it will run fine. If a tank loses suction it won't run correctly. Use a container and disconnect the fuel line before the external tank. Check both tanks pumps all you need is a decent flow. I would disconnect the external pump for this test.
