Windshield Washer Pump
Mine is out on my 2000 GP GTP. Just wondering the procedure on how to replace it. Winter time (lots of salt on roads) has made driving difficult when you can't see out of your windshield. Thanks for any help.

Re: Windshield Washer Pump
I just replaced my daughter's in a '97 GP GT, and assuming there haven't been many changes in the few years between models you'll find it ridiculously easy. The new pump (available at the local parts store) was about a 5 min. job. The pump is held in place by a tight fitting rubber grommit at the bottom of the reservoir. If you're quick about it you won't lose much washer fluid doing the swap. Just gently twist and pull the pump out of the tank and reinstall the new one. You'll have enough clearance to disconnect the elec. connector and single rubber hose after you pull the old pump out..then reinstall the connections for your final move.

Re: Windshield Washer Pump
Like he said, easy fix. Should cost about $20 for a new pump.

Re: Windshield Washer Pump
For the '98, I found it easier to get at it from the front passenger side wheel well. Turn steering wheel to the left, remove screws that hold the plastic wheel-well lining to the fender, fold it away and then reach around the corner towards the front of the vehicle. It was easy, but due to the angle, it was difficult to push the new pump into the tank.
