Metro won't stay broke...

I've got a Metro I sold to a friend for a friend and now I'm beginning to understand why people recommend not doing that sort of thing.
I took it back in November and did an overhaul and it ran fine for about a month.
Then he ran a 30 mile roundtrip errand. When he started the car to return home it immediately ran very rough and he limped home with it. He drove it once after that with no trouble.
I've driven it for a couple of weeks now with no trouble, zips right along, getting about 35 miles to the gallon (automatic and I'm driving it pretty hard).

My friend is an older fella who doesn't move that well so I'd like to find out what caused that hiccup so he feels better about driving the car.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Mike

Re: Metro won't stay broke...

Well you could start by telling the forum what year the Metro is and engine it has in it? We know from your post it has an automatic, but we don't know if it has any trouble codes?

We're good but not psychic....
