'99 Gr.Caravan clunk/knock when turning right

I have a significant clunk/knocking that can be felt through the floor and steering wheel while turning to the right from 1/4 turn or more while moving. It will always do it if there are bumps and usually does it if there isn't. The sway bar links and nuts are ok. There are no visual signs of movement or worn bushings etc.. Ball joints were replaced a bit ago and are tight. Other than the sway bar links/nuts all else is original.
Anyone have a similar problem?

Thx

will it clunk when you are going straight and over bumps,or just when turning right? I would at least start by replacing the bushings, very common for these to wear prematurely. You wont usually see wear on them until they are removed from the van. I'm on my 4th set.

Re: '99 Gr.Caravan clunk/knock when turning right

If it's cyclic meaning a constant rythumic clunk due to rotation as you turn right, it may be the left outboard constant velocity joint on the left axle. When you turn right the vehicle weight shifts to the left putting more stress on the left axle. Look for a torn CV joint boot and slop when you try turning the axle by hand. Cost? $60 to $120 aftermarket vs OEM.
