Toyota GT-One

Tamiya's Toyota GT-ONE. Paint is TS-49, I used about 5 different types of composite decals to match the reference pics I have. Something that's hard to see is that the lines on the carbon fiber on the side of the car are horizontal to the ground not diagonal as many have done. I used copies from the Scale Motorsport templates I use on the 98 version I did. The rear firewall is covered with a very bright foil on the real car which tried to replicate.Tamiya's paint matches the red on the windshield decal perfectly.

Re: Toy GT-One

That's a great, realistic build. I like the firewall, what did you use on it?

Thanks, some old left over label foil from a place I used to work, It has a matt finish that comes off with thinner. On the real car you can actually see it overlap. You could use kitchen aluminum foiled shiny side up and polished.
here is a pic from real car.

Great build! All those CF covered parts are terrific!

PS: Great tip about the horizontal orientation of the CF on the sieds of the car.

I definately agree! The CF-work is amazing! Must have been a pain to keep up with all these different types of composite.

Cheers
