Exclamation 98 intrigue cd player says e20 ?

When you put a cd in the stock deck. It flashes e20. How do you fix this.

Re: 98 intrigue cd player says e20 ?

E20 : Focus Error Cause(s): The CD player cannot focus on the disc or there is an internal focus problem. Correction(s): Try cleaning the disc or using a new disc. Make sure the disc is loaded correctly. The road could be too rough or there is too much humidity. If the problem is not corrected, service the unit at an ACDelcoŽ Service Center.

You could try resetting the unit by removing power for 15-20 minutes or so. Otherwise your unit might be screwed up. Also, humidity or condensation can be an issue. So if theres a lot of temperature extremes, for example the disc you put it came from inside and its -2 outside. Or if youre just getting the car warmed up or something.

Ive had a few error codes both on my stock HU and my Eclipse on some really cold mornings.

The lens could also be dirty. Use one of those cleaning disks (might not work if it can't read it) or shoot some compressed air around in there.
