Re: horsepower

Starting in 1995, GM released the new L36 Series II engine and it was a totally redesigned engine. In 1996 the Series II L67 version was released, which is a supercharged version of the Series II L36. The L67 came with a larger Eaton Gen III M90 supercharger, different throttle body, fuel injectors, cylinder heads, and lower intake than the L36 uses. Both of the Series II engines share the same engine blocks, but compression was reduced from 9.4:1 in the L36 to 8.5:1 for the L67. Power on the L67 went up to 240 hp and 280 ft lb of torque!
