Power Steering confusion :[
Okay, so I took my motor out to change clutch, flywheel, etc. And I had the p/s belt off and the lines unhooked. When I put it back on w/ new belt and Prestone p/s fluid, it makes this weird noise now, so I bought a new pump, thinking that was the problem, so I put it on, and same thing happens. When I turn the wheel the noise gets louder, and I looked in the reservoir, and the fluid was bubbling, and ONCE I had my friend shut the car off, it started over flowing with the cap on it. And ideas what this could be. I have no idea whatsoever. Thanks a lot. Oh, and the car is a 94 Honda Prelude Si.

Re: Power Steering confusion :[
Sounds like you potentially have air in your fluid lines. Bleed the air out by revving the engine to about 1500-2000 rpms and turning the steering wheel all the way from one side to the other a few times. This should bleed out the air and help with your potential problem.

Re: Power Steering confusion :[
I did that, with the old pump AND the new one. But I'm returning the pump and getting another one. Any other suggestions?
