Power Steering Gone
So I went to startup the car on a particularly cold day (-20 celcius) and then I heard a bit of a groan while starting. Let it warm up a bit and then when I tried to move, the steering was super stiff and remains that way now. Prior to this I had a leaking high pressure line that took a bit of time to get replaced where I was topping it up.
Did the power steering pump die? Is there a way to check and narrow things down? I don't want to change it and find out its something worse, I was able to drive the car around the block but the steering is seriously stiff, equally when turning both ways. ~B |

Re: Power Steering Gone
Is it or had it been making any noises? My experience with p/s pumps is that they don't go quietly. Might try sucking out the resevior (damn, I hate that word)
as clean as possible & replace with new fluid.
