code p1516 (TAC) module ? reduced engine performance

2003 Chevy 5.3, almost daily driving at highway speeds if a tire breaks loose at all on ice. the engine light comes on sets code p1516 for TAC module, and the Driver info. center reads reduced engine mode, and wont go over 30 mph. Does this sound like a bad sensor in the gas pedal seeing that this vehicle is a drive by wire system, or am i way off. Any info will greatly help.

the drive by wires in 2003 had problems the wiring /connectors checked for shorts corrosion then replace the sender...

I will check wires if no visible problems there ill replace the sender. Looking through past posts the tac sender seems to be the culpret. Thanks a ton

don't over look as I mentioned the connector...as well
