What is Writer's Corner?

I was just wondering what the Writer's Corner was and why no one has posted in it or why it is password protected. I creatively write about cars from time to time, as I am an English major with a passion for cars. I thought that might be just the place I wanted to go, but I don't want to be there alone. *G*
